PRU Sabah: STARSabah Expected to Field Woman Candidate in Kiulu

TUARAN, Oct 27 — STARSabah is expected to field a female candidate in the Kiulu state constituency for the upcoming 17th Sabah State General Election, according to Borneo Post report.

According to sources within the party, one of the names being considered is Karen Cassandra Ambrose, a committee member of Wiranita STARSabah.

The 29-year-old from Kampung Tiong Ratau, Kiulu, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Universiti Utara Malaysia.

When approached for comment, Karen said there has been no official announcement from the party regarding the matter.

“As a loyal supporter of the party, I am ready to serve and contest in the Sabah state general election if given the opportunity by the STARSabah leadership,” she said, adding that the final decision lies entirely with the party’s top leadership.

Previously, many political observers had speculated that Kiulu STARSabah leader Terence Sinti would be renominated to contest in the constituency.

Meanwhile, the incumbent Datuk Joniston Bangkuai of GRS, along with Henry Saimpon (KDM) and Saibin Gunsari (Warisan), are also widely expected to vie for the Kiulu seat in the upcoming election.
