Peto inspects landslide area in Babagon Toki-Kiansom

KOTA KINABALU: Inanam State Assemblyman (DUN) Datuk Peto Galim went to the field to inspect two landslide locations along the road from Kiansom Kecil to Babagon Toki, following the heavy rains that hit the area recently.

During the inspection, he met with the Public Works Department (JKR) to discuss immediate steps to speed up road cleaning and restoration work.

He said that the safety of road users was a priority and hoped that the cleaning work could be completed as soon as possible so that the road could be reopened to the public.

He also called on the authorities to constantly monitor the slope areas around Babagon Toki and Kiansom which are at risk of landslides, especially during the rainy season.
